That's the thing that comes to mind when someone reverted to Islam right? Well if you're a guy =P
Then someone asked, "other religion didn't do this, how come Islam like that one? (in a negative way)"
hmm...that time, I don't know how to answer cos I don't have the knowledge, now with the little bit of knowledge I've gain;
Disclaimer: So I'll share some info that I've gathered, which I think is accurate...so pandai2 lah, before u wanna say anything, go check it out first okay...
Our prophet Nabi Muhammad s.a.w; definitely has more than one wives; (13 i think)
There's a reason for it, and it's not about taking advantages.
most of the mariage are done when our Prophet was above 55 years of age, EPF retirement age...
He started receiving his revelation at the age of 40 years old; so his marriages are all after that period;
I don't have the right knowledge nor did I study a lot about his history; so here goes!
- some were arranged marriage. (Already happens at that time, where people just married in respect of to build a better future, right? =)
- one is married so that she can revert to Islam. (I think mine was something like that? and I'm not the only one =)
- one married was to take care of her family and children.
- one marriage is for political reasons. (still occurring now right? even for those non-Islam countries those royal families)
- one of them is to make peace between 2 places at war.
- one of them was a prisoners of war.
- order from Allah S.W.T.
Another fact is that; those marriage are from divorcee; where the husband has been fallen in wars or other cases...
So now you know, it's not for lust, or those "play boy" stuff...
Well, this all triggered from the spread of a whatsapp message in a group...talking about polygamy; I'll just copy and paste it after the break below...oh it's in Malay, I'm not sure about the accuracy of the texts, but look it up if you have to.
Assalamualaikum and thanks for reading, hope this helps you a little in understanding more on Islam.

So there you have it, once of my experiences hehe...not to brag about it or anything...but in life, if something doesn't belongs to you, you shouldn't take it.
If it's meant for you, then no matter what you do, you can't keep it away from you. Why? Because Allah.
Say: "Verily my Lord enlarges and restricts the Provision to whom He pleases, but most men understand not."

If you recalled the lyrics, it was about a couple have left without noticed, and found a place that they can be in for a long time...
But the song was composed based on a true story, about a missing couple, and how their story ended tragically, but it was immortalized in this song, by the composer, in another happier manner.
Have a read at the following pages:

Its the new year for Muslims around the universe =D
So I'll share something with you guys and gals
Happy new year,I'm still having trouble remembering the term of Islamic new year,but it represents our prophet's migration to Mecca (correction: from mecca to madinah), where Islam is home,where the haji pilgrimage is held,and the location of the kabah,the square thingy that people walks around it?
That's the holy land,where it's started in the Quran,if you're a Muslim and able,you've gotta visit this place,where it all started.
Also,when we pray,we Muslims,face the directions of the kabah,that's why,in certain places,like in hotels,you'll see one green arrow pointing to somewhere =)
So,its the new year,in Malaysia,native Malays are Muslims,most rulers are Muslims if not all,I just that those who has done wrong,stand up and face the judgement on this world, if you're able to commit to something,why won't you admit to it? Well,for me,if one is innocent or guilty,only Allah knows,and Allah knows and sees all the actions where we human do not.
Also,Allah grants rezeki (Google says its fortune in English),so those rezeki are granted for each and every being on this world, mainly I would like to say,the fact that we are still alive,or living a long live,its not the sake of living, a rezeki,also a chance for us to repent, and to undo what we've done, if its can't be undo,then we must try our best to do more good deeds to the people around us, forgiveness is a great gift to start,and do not take what's not yours...
Hope this message teaches you something as this is what I felt,and I feel that sharing this is a nice way to start a new Islamic year =)
Selamat awal muharam =)
P.s. go read the qurans translation,it's available on the internet,and its like the shortest book with consist information from Allah, my best friend and wife told me,start from the back,and its not a bad idea, start there and work your way to the front...you'll gain a lot of things,if you just think about it...
